| SPIRAL PATHWAYS Dianne Gleixner 8:30-4:00 (6 hr) Students will insert the spokes into an oval slotted wood base and learn triple twining along with a unique decorative overlay. Concentration is required for shaping to fit the swing handle. The combination of smoked and natural reed creates a beautiful useful basket. | BERKSHIRE BACKPACK JoAnn Kelly Catsos 8:30-4:00 (6 hr) Weave this small pack of finely prepared black ash splint over a puzzle mold (must be taken apart to be removed). Lash the rim, add skeds to the bottom, and attach the leather harness and buckle. This is a SMALL basket and attention to detail is required. Weave an open rectangular base, and then concentrate on shaping to achieve gracefully sloped sides and an oval opening. A push-in handle is added just before rimming.
