Students will make this easy round basket with dyed brown spokes and a lovely design using Philodendron Sheath.  Combine the design with desert found materials to add a wonderful unique touch.   End with either a natural or dyed rim.  Lots of fun!   Other embellishments will be available for an extra cost.

7" CHERRY BOWL

Students will insert and glue pre-bent and tapered cherry staves into a cherry wood base and weave with cane over a 7” bowl mold.   A turned cherry rim will be glued on.  Approx. 7” D x 4” H

LATTICE TRAY

Your imagination dictates the design and shape for your unique, shallow tray.  The entire tray is woven with dyed reed and waxed linen in lattice twining (a lashing technique or bound weave) including the rim.  Sally will bring samples as guides but your own creativity is greatly encouraged.  Approx.  1” H x 6” W x 7”D   Intermediate Class, prep & material fee  $78

Sakura means “Cherry Blossom”.   Cherry is the focus of this basket: cherry base, delicate cherry spokes and cherry to accent the rim.   Carefully placed copper overlays add a subtle glint to your basket.  Seed beads and a few gemstone beads add a touch of finesse to the finished basket.  Simply elegant!  Approx. 3 ¾” D x 5 ½”H
