| PENOBSCOT FANCY DIANNE STANTON This handsome black ash basket is reminiscent of many made by Penobscot Indians as a “fancy” tourist basket. Construct 2 spoke-bottom baskets – the base & cover. Use traditional methods (and molds) to weave narrow and wide rows and embellish with black ash curls. Cover has sweet grass weaving and rims as well as simple black ash “ribbon” handle. | OUTGOING MAIL POUCH CASS SCHORSCH A brand new creation! Cass harvested yellow cedar in Alaska and created this basket to hang by the door, ready and waiting to be taken to the mailbox. Weave over a mold with Michigan White Cedar in a twill pattern and the crosswarp is created by twining with Alaskan Yellow Cedar. Cordage for the hanger is also of yellow cedar.
