Students will taper reed staves and insert them into a walnut wood base then learn a 1-2-3- pattern with cane over a puzzle mold.   The turned walnut rim will be glued on then top the basket with a turned walnut lid.

HERRINGBONE CARRIER

Learning to weave the eye-catching herringbone design (an attractive variation of French randing) and shaping a round basket will be the focus of this class.  Students will have several color choices for the herringbone design.  An oak base begins the basket and a beautiful oak handle completes it.  Approx. 10”D x 6”H (w/o handle) x 12” W (w/handle)

Enjoy this lattice twining with a touch of elegance.   The copper wire gives a delicate glow that no picture can properly portray.   Using dyed reed and copper wire, learn basic lattice twining, shaping techniques, and special tips to create the perfect braided rim.

This large, sturdy market basket features a filled, woven base, a section of twill weaving around the sides and a beautiful decorative braid woven with cane to wrap the handle.  Color choices will be available for the accent rows of triple twining.   Approx. 10” W x 17” L x 7” H (plus handle)
