Attractive splint basket begins with woven base of black ash spokes.  Red cedar, American elm bark and black ash weavers will be combined in your choice of different patterns for the sides.  Complete with fragrant sweet grass and elm bark rims.  All materials are prepared and class will include discussion on harvest and preparation.

Geodes can be very abusive to furniture, but with Cass’s technique of Knotless Netting while capturing cedar bark on the rough sides, they can be Furniture Friendly plus a conversation piece, no matter which side you look at.   Bring a scissors and tapestry needle to learn this great technique.  Project may not be completed during class time, but easy to finish on your own ALL LEVELS   Various sizes  Class, prep & material fee $50
STAR IN THE WOODS TOTE

Woven in hunter green and smoked on a special base with skids, this basket is woven in a “plaid” design.  Finish with 4 yards of shaker tape and a wood star.
